Northamptonshire’s huge new Christmas market ‘will soon be the UK’s biggest’
Christmas in the Park is coming to Santa Pod Raceway on December 5 and 6, bringing more than 200 stalls, attractions and activities, a Christmas circus, live entertainment and special guest Spudman.
And while this year’s event is set to welcome thousands of visitors, organisers are planning a significant expansion for 2027, with the ultimate ambition of making Christmas in the Park the biggest Christmas market in the UK.
Visitors will be able to meet Santa Claus, see real reindeer, enjoy appearances from the Grinch, toast marshmallows and explore festive shopping and food stalls.
The event will also welcome social media sensation Spudman, who has attracted millions of followers online and become one of the UK’s most recognisable street food personalities.

Another major highlight will be the Christmas circus, bringing a line-up of performers and acts to Northamptonshire, with thousands expected to enjoy the show throughout the weekend.
Organisers say admission tickets have already sold out, more than six weeks before the event is due to take place.
The demand comes as the team behind Christmas in the Park reveals ambitious plans.
A spokesman said: “We knew there was demand for something like this in Northamptonshire, but the response has been incredible. To sell out this far in advance of Christmas has been amazing, and we’re so grateful to everyone who has bought tickets.

“We wanted to create something much bigger than a traditional Christmas market. Somewhere families could come for the whole day, enjoy some brilliant food, watch live entertainment, do their Christmas shopping and really get into the Christmas spirit.
“And this is just the start. We’re already looking at how we can make next year’s event considerably bigger. Our ambition is to make Christmas in the Park the UK’s biggest Christmas market, and we’re really excited about what we've got planned.”
The event will run from 10am until 7pm on the Saturday and 10am until 5pm on the Sunday, with entertainment and attractions taking place throughout the weekend.
With its range of traders, festive experiences and family entertainment, organisers hope Christmas in the Park will become an annual event in Northamptonshire, attracting visitors from across the country in the years ahead.
