Water supply disruption in Desborough, Rothwell and Thrapston as Anglian Water works on burst main
Residents in and around Desborough, Rothwell and Thrapston may be experiencing disruption in their water supply as Anglian Water is currently working on a burst water main.
Anglian Water shared an update this afternoon (October 26), with a currently unknown time frame for restoration as it says it has been dealing with several burst water mains in the wider area.
An Anglian Water spokesman said: “We’re so sorry if you’re finding you have low pressure or even no water at all from your taps at the moment.
“We know this will be particularly frustrating for you, given the similar problems earlier this month. We’re very sorry that you’re facing further disruption so soon, and we understand why you’ll expect us to get things sorted as quickly as possible.

“We appreciate just how disruptive this is, and we’re sorry that customers in this area are having to deal with this again. Getting your water supply back to normal is our immediate priority, and we’ll keep you updated as our work progresses.”
Areas believed to be affected include the postcodes NN14 1, NN6 9, LE16 8, NN14 6, NN14 2 and NN6 6.
Residents are asked to keep water usage to a minimum, and only use what is needed for essential purposes while repairs are carried out.
A North Northants Council spokesman said: “Anglian Water – Love Every Drop is working to resolve the issue and will be delivering bottled water directly to affected customers. Priority deliveries will be made to those registered with its Priority Services scheme.
