Northamptonshire girl, four, wins nationwide doodling competition with her 'joyful' design
Four-year-old Esmee Richardson from Thrapston has been chosen as the winner of a nationwide doodling competition run by Little Dish and The Doodle Boy.
Children’s food brand, Little Dish, joined forces with Joe Whale - AKA The Doodle Boy - to challenge children across the UK to colour in the packaging of their limited-edition chicken katsu curry noodles meal as part of a ‘Doodle on our noodles’ colouring competition.
Little artists were asked to transform the black and white Little Dish pack, designed exclusively by The Doodle Boy, into a colourful work of art to be in with the chance of seeing their artwork displayed on a giant billboard.
The eye-catching pack doubled as a colouring canvas and starred playful veggie characters and wiggly noodles, all intentionally left uncoloured so children could bring them to life at home.

The entries were judged by Little Dish founder Hillary Graves, The Doodle Boy and baby and child nutritionist Charlotte Stirling-Reed (@sr_nutrition), who chose the winner and ten runners-up.
Esmee’s ‘doodletastic’ masterpiece will now feature on a giant billboard on an advertising van, which will tour Northamptonshire on November 9.
Esmee’s winning design is a colourful self-portrait surrounded by all the things that make her happy – sunshine, flowers, rainbows and balloons.
Esmee’s dad Alex Richardson said: “Esmee absolutely loves to draw and she wanted to create something bright and happy.
"Her whole face lit up when we told her she had won, she just can’t believe her drawing has made it on to a giant poster that all her friends and family will see.”
Hillary Graves, Little Dish founder, said: “We wanted our ‘Doodle on our noodles’ colouring competition to champion children’s creativity so we’re thrilled to crown Esmee our winner.
"Well done Esmee! All the judges loved your joyful design.”
Joe Whale, The Doodle Boy, added: “Congratulation Esmee, I’m sure your doodle will make lots of people feel happy. Keep doodling!”
The touring billboard poster will visit Esmee’s school and friends and family in her local area on Monday (November 9).
