Boy hit by taxi in Corby suffers serious injuries

A taxi passenger suffered serious injuries after he was allegedly run over by a taxi he had been travelling in in Corby town centre.

The incident happened at the cab rank in George Street, Corby, late on Friday evening.

A source has told our reporters that the young male passenger had been travelling with a group of pals in the locally-registered hackney cab and was 50p short of his fare.

Following an argument between the driver and the passenger, the taxi was damaged, and the boy ended up being run over by the cab, which is said to have mounted the pavement.
