Nene Valley Swimming Club receives £600 to improve its facilities in Thrapston
Nene Valley Swimming Club is delighted to have received a £600 donation from the council towards new lane rope tensioners, helping to support the club’s facilities and the swimmers who train there.
Based at the Nene Centre in Thrapston, Nene Valley Swimming Club has been running since 2012 and has built a welcoming, close-knit swimming community.
The volunteer-led club supports swimmers in developing their skills, building confidence and achieving their goals, from learning and improving technique to competing at county, regional and national levels.
At the heart of the club is a family-friendly environment where swimmers of all ages and abilities can enjoy the sport, supported by dedicated coaches, volunteers and families.

The £600 donation from Thrapston Town Council is a welcome boost for the club and will contribute towards improving its training facilities, benefiting the swimmers who use them.
A spokesman said: “The club would like to thank the council for its support and investment in local swimming.”
