Masked Singer star Joel to host Bemorefab Children’s Cancer Charity gala event in Corby
Masked Singer star Joel Dommett is set to host a gala event in Corby raising money for Bemorefab Children’s Cancer Charity.
Bemorefab was set up by Florence Bark and her family after she was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer when she was just five.
Still needing constant medical care, she keeps smiling and spreading joy everywhere she goes with her motto, ‘Be More Fab’.
Florence, now nine, first met Joel at the Pride of Britain Awards 2024 and was later a guest on This Morning – describing her as ‘one of the most inspirational people he’d ever met’.

Florence’s dad, Andrew Bark, Bemorefab Children’s Cancer Charity founder, said: “This event is about bringing people together to create something positive so we can continue supporting children who are going through the hardest time imaginable.
"Funds raised from the gala will go directly towards Bemorefab’s work supporting children and families affected by cancer through education support, well-being activities and family programmes designed to help young people maintain confidence, connection and routine during incredibly difficult times.”
The Have Happy Days Gala on Thursday, March 26 at The Holiday Inn, Corby, starting at 6.30pm, will feature entertainment from Joel, alongside performances from Jay & Joss the Magicians and other local performers.
Businesses, supporters and members of the community will join together for the evening dedicated to improving the lives of children facing cancer.
BeMoreFab Childrens Cancer Charity supports children with cancer and their families in Northamptonshire through practical aid, educational tutoring and community connection to prevent isolation.
Andrew said: “It will be a fantastic night of entertainment, dining and dancing whilst raising vital funds.
“The support we have received from local businesses, volunteers and the wider community has been incredible. Events like this simply wouldn’t be possible without them.
“We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported the event through sponsorship, donations, prizes and volunteering their time.”
The Have Happy Days Gala is nearly sold out, but there are still sponsorship opportunities.
