A £250,000 move to Leicester City followed where he saved a penalty during the Foxes 2020-21 EFL Trophy campaign, against Rochdale.

The 22-year-old has now joined the Poppies after Adam Collin departed the club this summer sign for Basford United.

Assistant manager John Ramshaw said: "We are delighted to have signed Rhys and believe he has a bright future with the club.

"He comes with an exciting pedigree and we look forward to working with him."

Davies follows Jordon Crawford into Latimer Park after the forward became the Poppies' first summer signing after joining from Corby Town.
