Ripley disappointed as Steelbacks fail to seize chance in front of big crowd
Northants had been 59 for one at the end of the powerplay, but they collapsed and were dismissed for just 122.
Richard Gleeson bowled superbly to take figures of two for 13 and he also brilliantly ran out Greg Smith, but he couldn’t save the Steelbacks.

And Ripley, whose side remain top of the North Group, said: “It’s disappointing because we have got a lot of people in tonight and we’ve not really turned up.
“We were 50 for none after five overs, a good start, good base and then we imploded with the bat.
“There were some poor decisions from us but we play our cricket positively.

“We didn’t play very smart because if we’d have weighed in at 150, it might have been a tight game.
“A total of 122 is never going to challenge Notts, although it was good to show a bit of heart and fight to make them work for it.”
