Wellingborough ram-raid 'not believed to be linked' to other incidents according to police
Police do not believe the spate of ram-raids in north Northamptonshire are linked, after yet another incident in Wellingborough yesterday (Tuesday, December 22).
Police are investigating an attempted ram-raid at the Co-op in Cheyne Walk on the Glenvale Park estate after a Volvo crashed into the store in the early hours of yesterday morning, the latest in a series of ram-raids in north Northamptonshire.
Others include a raid at the Co-op in Farm Road, Wellingborough in August, another at the Co-op in Occupation Road in Corby in October, one in the High Street in Raunds in October and a raid on an ATM in Farmstead Road, Corby earlier this month.

However, police do not believe there is a link between the raids.
A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said: “This is not believed to be linked to any other incidents currently however, investigations are continuing.”
The attempted raid in Glenvale Park yesterday saw a Volvo reverse into the side of the Co-op store, causing significant damage to both the shop and the car. This morning, work was being carried out to limit and cordon off the damage.
Police are still appealing for information concerning the attempted raid in Cheyne Walk, including those who may have dash-cam footage of the car reversing into the premises.
Anyone with information are asked to contact Northamptonshire Police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
