More road closures announced for September
Motorists are being warned of a series of road closures across North Northamptonshire.
North Northamptonshire Council has published a number of temporary traffic orders covering roads across the area during September for manhole maintenance and carriageway coring.
They include the length of Addington Road, Wellingborough, from number 25 and Brook Terrace, which will be closed for safety reasons during the laying of new ducting for up to three days from September 21.
For alternative routes drivers are advised to use the A6 and Station Road.

Elsewhere in Wellingborough, Cobbs Lane from Manchester Road to Priory Road will be closed on September 22 and possibly the day after, for manhole maintenance.
Advice is to use the A509 and B569 instead.
Ewanfield Road, Finedon, from outside number 1 to number 6, will be closed to traffic during new water connection works. This will be for up to four days from September 22.
Use Cromer Road and the A510 as diversions.
Overnight on September 24, Corby Road, Islip, from Kettering Road to the A14 junction westbound slip (including the roundabout), will be closed for carriageway coring.
Drivers are advised to follow signage for diversion routes.
Access to various roads in Great Addington, Woodford and Ringstead will be restricted from September 30 for up to three days, again for carriageway coring.
The roads to be closed are Ringstead Road, Great Addington; Ringstead Road, Woodford; Addington Road, Ringstead; and Station Road, Ringstead, from Lower Street to Kinewell Close.
Away from the roads, pedestrians, equestrians and cyclists are to be banned from proceeding along about 400 metres of Bridleway TC13 in Earls Barton. The bridleway bridge is deemed to be unsafe and it requires remedial works to make it safe.
The order is in effect now and will continue for a period of six months.
