A decade of delivering: Europa Warehouse, Corby celebrates 10-year partnership
Europa Warehouse in Corby is celebrating a decade as global distribution partner for leading UK fire safety equipment supplier Firechief Global.

Europa Warehouse, the 3PL division of Europa Worldwide Group, manages Firechief’s fulfilment. Located on a 25-acre site at Midlands Logistics Park, the ground floor of the Corby warehouse is equivalent to seven Premier League football pitches with 715,000 ft2 dedicated to logistics, with 100,000 pallet spaces.
Rutland based Firechief's origins date back to 1963, when it introduced its first fire blanket. The business has expanded significantly, building a portfolio of more than 2,000 specialist fire safety products, including fire extinguishers, alarms and signage.

Over the past six years, Europa has continually invested to create high-quality, innovative and efficient automation and manual 3PL solutions that support a growing list of national and international customers. Today, this flagship site is an award-winning operation, employing 230 local people at the heart of a vibrant and successful logistics landscape.
As a third-generation family-run business, Oakham-based Firechief serves fire safety professionals and installers globally, with consumer products also sold through retailers including Screwfix, Toolstation, B&Q and Amazon.
Built on a strong cultural fit between the two businesses, the partnership began at Europa’s Birmingham warehouse before Firechief’s operations transferred to its flagship facility in Corby, bringing fulfilment closer to Firechief’s Rutland headquarters.
As Firechief’s product range has grown, Europa has adapted the fulfilment operation to provide additional capacity while supporting its next-day delivery promise. The Europa team manages inbound stock from the UK and overseas, reworks products, packages kits prior to dispatch and coordinates deliveries across the UK and internationally.

Corby has established itself as a major logistics and distribution hub within Northamptonshire, attracting significant investment from national and international businesses due to its central location. Key road links via the A43 and A14 provide easy access to national routes, helping Europa manage inbound stock efficiently and support timely onward deliveries.
The market for fire safety products has grown in line with increased fire safety legislation in England, placing additional responsibilities on businesses, landlords and building managers. For Firechief’s customers, including retailers, installers, and end users, meeting these responsibilities means having the right equipment in place to help keep premises safe, compliant and open for business. Accurate, timely delivery is therefore more than a service expectation, it helps customers put effective fire safety measures in place when they need them.
As an established 3PL provider, Europa had the expertise and flexibility to understand and respond to Firechief’s evolving needs. With over ten years of working together, this understanding has enabled Europa to adapt its fulfilment operation as Firechief’s product range has grown, making it a natural fit for a business whose customers depend on reliable access to essential fire safety equipment.
Celebrating Together
Teams from Europa and Firechief marked the anniversary at Europa’s flagship Corby warehouse with a specially made cake and food for all warehouse colleagues, including those working the night shift, recognising their contribution to the partnership.
The event provided an opportunity to celebrate the partnership’s achievements and look ahead to the next chapter.
Europa’s team and trained personnel ensure orders and products are fulfilled efficiently and accurately, supporting Firechief’s next-day delivery promise and helping the business expand its reach into blue-chip distributors.
Over the past decade, Europa Warehouse has scaled its fulfilment operations alongside Firechief’s growth, accommodating 2,500 additional SKUs to its product range. This reliability has been key for Firechief, enabling the business to meet the expectations of its varied customer base of distributors, retailers, and installers.
Dionne Redpath, Chief Operating Officer and Warehouse Divisional Director at Europa Worldwide Group, said: “Ten years together is much more than a contract or a customer relationship. It represents trust built over time. For Europa and Firechief, I think that relationship can be summed up in four words: performance, promises, protection, and partnership.
“Performance means delivering consistently and the team here at Europa works tirelessly to ensure every order leaves on time, in full. Promises mean doing what we say we’ll do and building trust through our actions. Protection connects us to Firechief’s fundamental purpose of protecting lives and property. And partnership is what brings all of those things together. It means standing alongside one another, through challenges as well as successes, and always looking at how we can make today better than yesterday. We’re hugely grateful to everyone at Firechief for ten years of trust in Europa. It means the world to us”
A Strong History in Fire Safety
Firechief’s longstanding commitment to quality, supported by its range of British Standards Kitemarked products, has earned the trust of major organisations including the NHS, Harrods, the University of Cambridge and London Underground.
At Oakham-headquartered Firechief, a passion for fire safety has been passed down through the Pollard family, which continues to play a central role in the business. Managing Director Laurie Pollard works alongside Director Nick Pollard, Systems and Improvements Manager Josh Pollard and Key Account Manager Reg Pollard. Laurie Pollard, Managing Director of Firechief, said: “Ten years ago, we knew we needed a strong, capable distribution partner to support our growth. Handing our deliveries to another business was a big step, but what first struck me about Europa was its culture, especially the sense of ownership and accountability. Our products help businesses stay safe and compliant, so getting the right products to the right place at the right time is essential.
“With Europa handling picking, packing and dispatch, we’ve been free to focus on customer relationships, support and product development. Over the past ten years, Europa has been a consistently dependable partner, and the relationship has grown alongside our business. We’re looking forward to building on that over the next ten years.”
