Shed Seven announce Roadmender return as part of anniversary tour for classic album

Indie rockers Shed Seven will return to Northampton in October to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their classic album A Maximum High.

In the wake of a huge sell-out show at The Piece Hall in Halifax last month, the band will be playing the album in full at the Roadmender on Thursday, October 29, and tickets go on sale this Friday at 10am.

In conjunction with the six-date tour, the band will also be launching a new variant of their forthcoming new album.

Shed Seven - A Maximum Lo-Fi is a special edition of their self-titled Shed Seven album, created exclusively for these shows.

Alongside the new album, it includes exclusive bonus tracks featuring reimagined versions of some of the deeper cuts and B-sides from the A Maximum High era.

Think stripped-back performances, acoustic guitars, lo-fi textures and a completely different take on songs including 'Magic Streets', 'Where Have You Been Tonight?', 'Lies', 'Out By My Side', 'Killing Time' and more.

The band said: "After the incredible response to our A Maximum High 30th Anniversary show in Halifax, and after hearing that so many of you missed out, we're thrilled to announce a special run of A Maximum High shows this October 2026 and February 2027.

“This time we'll be taking things back to where it all began. Smaller, more intimate venues, just like the ones we were playing back in 1996.

“We'll be performing A Maximum High in full, followed by a second set of Shed classics, along with a few tracks from our forthcoming self-titled album.”

A Maximum High was Shed Seven’s second album, following their 1994 debut Change Giver. They are led by lead singer and guitarist Rick Witter.

The short run of dates will be ahead of an extensive tour in November and December.

Shed Seven will play the following towns and cities in October:

15th October – Birmingham O2 Institute

16th October – Kingston-upon-Thames Circuit

17th October – London Scala

29th October – Northampton Roadmender

30th October – Manchester Academy 2

31st October – Glasgow Barrowland
