James Arthur to replace Rag’n’Bone man as British Grand Prix music headliner

Singer songwriter James Arthur will replace Rag’n’Bone man as one of the headline music acts at this year’s British Grand Prix.

Organisers of the event, due to take place in July at Silverstone, revealed the change today.

In a statement, they said: “We’re sorry to share that Rag’n’Bone Man is unfortunately no longer able to perform at the British Grand Prix. “We know this will be disappointing for many of you who were looking forward to his set, and we send him our very best. “But race weekend never stands still and Sunday is still shaping up for a huge finish as James Arthur takes to the Main Stage.

“Expect huge vocals and a set built for an epic race day finale. Let’s make it one to remember.”

No reason was given for Rag’n’Bone Man’s withdrawal from the event.

Acts will take to the stage across four nights at Silverstone, after practice and qualifying sessions and after the race on the Sunday.

The opening night, Thursday, July 2, will be headlined by David Guetta with support by Anne-Marie.

The following day will be headlined by Richard Ashcroft with support by Alex James’ Britpop Classical and the Saturday by Chase & Status with support by Jazzy.

Joining Arthur on the Sunday will be Vik.

There will also be music at the T1 Afterparty with DJ sets by John Newman, Rudimental, Pendulum and MK as well as other entertainment throughout the weekend.

New Sunday headliner James Arthur rose to fame winning the ninth series of The X Factor in 2012. His sixth album Pisces was released last year.

In 2024, he headlined A Perfect Day festival held at Delapre Park in Northampton.

All of the concerts are free for racegoers with tickets also available for the opening concert for £50.
