'Really good fun' - Saints star Hendy reflects on England 'A' win against Argentina XV

Saints star George Hendy says playing in the big England 'A' win against an Argentina XV on Friday night was 'really good fun'.

Hendy started on the wing as the Red Rose produced an authoritative display to overpower their opponents, earning a 59-24 victory courtesy of nine tries at The Rec.

A brace of tries and several typically athletic moments from winger Noah Caluori caught the eye, while the likes of fly-half Charlie Atkinson, his half-back partner Caolan Englefield, lock Ben Bamber and centre Max Ojomoh also made their mark.

But it was a genuine team performance from the England side.

Hendy certainly played his part, with Saints team-mate Tom Lockett coming off the bench.

And Hendy said: "It was really good fun.

"We'd spoken all week about how much energy we wanted to bring and how we wanted to come alive as a group and be connected, and it was really good out there."
