“Everyone is buying in and that is a big credit to (head coach) Darren Lehmann.”

Head coach Lehmann is happy Guthrie has committed to Northants, and said: “I’m delighted that Liam has decided to extend his contract with the county.

“I’ve worked with Liam for many years now and believe he offers so much to the club in the bowling department so it’s great to secure that for next two seasons.”
