We’ve just spoken to Conservative candidate for Oundle Helen Harrison who did 36,000 steps in one day during the campaign.

Hartlepool’s results were amazing . People might imagine that Oundle’s very safe but we never take it for granted.

Dez Dell is standing for the Green Party in Clover Hill and he’s pledging to do everything he can to save threatened Weekley Hall Woods

I’m starting to get a little bit confident that we’ll see the first green councillor elected in the county.

The pile of block votes for us was a little taller than for the other parties. It’s just the mixed votes that were a bit closer.

I’m taking it as good sign

We’ve just had a chat with Martin Griffiths, former Wellingborough Council leader.

We ran a great campaign and I’ve enjoyed this one immensely. I’ve knocked on more than 16,000 doors.

The North of the county runs the 43 miles between Easton Maudit in my ward to Easton-on-the-Hill just a couple of miles outside Stamford and we want to make sure all of the villages and towns are represented on the new council. We’ve got a fantastic team of senior officers and we want to give this new council the best start possible.

We have got to make sure we learn lessons from the previous few years and we want to work together with the opposition because that will make us a stronger authority.

Martin Griffiths

We’ve tried to get a couple of Conservative candidates up to speak to us but they appear a bit reluctant at present...
