We’re hearing turnout in West Northamptonshire is just 29.98% compared to 34.6% here

Mark Pengelly, a Corby councillor for years says that he knows he’s worked really hard in his Lloyds ward and is hoping that the electorate have come out to vote for him. He’s thanked the volunteers who’ve helped him over the past few weeks.

We’ve been speaking to council stalwart Chris Stanbra about his chances of retaining his Liberal Democrat seat in Corby ‘s Oakley Ward.. he’s not feeling confident

I was at the verification last night and although it doesn’t include postal votes, I’m not feeling very confident about the result at the moment.

I’ve represented the area for a long time and I’d said throughout this campaign that the Conservatives might get the most seats in North Northants but that didn’t mean they would get an overall majority. I had hoped the smaller parties could form a credible opposition. I still hope that’s the case.
