Network Rail has warned of some noise and disruption as it continues with its upgrade of Wellingborough's Irthlingborough Road bridge.
The improvements to the bridge, linking the town to the Leyland Trading Estate and on to Irthlingborough, are to provide sufficient clearance for electrified overhead line equipment to safely pass underneath.

In an update on the work, Network Rail has said there could be some disruption over the next few weeks.
A letter to those who live and work nearby says: "We wanted you to be aware of an upcoming period of intense activity from Monday 3 February until Friday 28 February 2020 during which the superstructure of the replacement bridge will be constructed.
"During this period two cranes, required to lift the new bridge sections into position, will be delivered in pieces using a large number of heavy goods vehicles and then erected on site.

"There will then be a period during which the cranes are de-rigged and removed from the site.
"For safety pedestrian/cycle access over the railway via Irthlingborough Road will be suspended between 3 February and 1 March.
"The nearest alternate railway crossing point for pedestrians and cyclists will be via Midland Road next to Wellingborough Station during this period.

"Given the high volume of HGVs that will be using Irthlingborough Road we would appreciate your assistance in keeping the road clear of parked vehicles - particularly during crane rigging and de-rigging."
The letter acknowledges that the work could be noisy and disruptive to people living and working nearby.
However, Network Rail has said every effort will be made to minimise unnecessary noise and apologises for any inconvenience that the essential works may cause.
