Kettering Library to host first Northamptonshire Start-Up Day since £3m extension grant

Kettering Library’s bespoke Business & IP Centre created using a £3m grant six years ago is due to host its first major event for budding entrepreneurs.

It was the successful bid through the South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership (SEMLEP) that kick-started the extension to Kettering Library and Alfred East Art Gallery to maximise the use of the buildings.

Weeks after the modern extension to the Grade II listed building was finished, rainwater was found pouring into the leaky library and into areas of the newly created rooms.

After six years the SEMLEP-funded British Library-led Business and IP Centre (BIPC) Northamptonshire will host the Start-Up Day for those with a business idea ‘but don’t know where to start’.
