Despite the country being told to stay at home three times in the last 10 months due to national lockdowns, parents across the north of Northamptonshire were not deterred from giving their children the best birthday parties ever.
Heading to a trampoline park, a swimming pool or a play area seem like distant memories now - and they are plans which are not destined to be put back on the cards just yet either.
With that in mind, here is a photographic list of 11 parties you might like to replicate for your little ones to make their special day one to remember while our options for fun elsewhere are limited.
1. Deep-sea diving - in the living room
Faith Cooke became a deep-sea diving princess for her birthday this month, as her mum daringly put up a paddling pool indoors.
2. Colourful balloons
Millie Gavin turned 8 on January 10 and was showered in rainbow-style balloons and sashes. Happy belated birthday, Millie.
3. Unicorn themed fun
Dawn Whiten no doubt spent a lot of time putting together this epic unicorn-themed display for her daughter's second birthday party in lockdown. What a lucky little girl.
4. A special sleepover
Donna Promubol's son had a party fit for a wizard, with special Harry Potten tents from Vintage Dens making an appearance to make a sleepover with his family extra special.
