Despite the country being told to stay at home three times in the last 10 months due to national lockdowns, parents across the north of Northamptonshire were not deterred from giving their children the best birthday parties ever.
Heading to a trampoline park, a swimming pool or a play area seem like distant memories now - and they are plans which are not destined to be put back on the cards just yet either.
With that in mind, here is a photographic list of 11 parties you might like to replicate for your little ones to make their special day one to remember while our options for fun elsewhere are limited.

9. A special event for the guest of honour
Claire Gill created a carnival-themed party for her nine-year-old son, Bradley. She made all of the props in the first lockdown in her garage and aptly called the family party 'Brad Fest', which had handmade mini golf and a piñata.

10. A party outdoors
Tents appear to be a common theme as Sally Matthews daughter also took to the garden, when the weather was a bit kinder, to enjoy her birthday outside.

11. Party fit for a princess
Claire Button's daughter became a pink princess for her third birthday and was gifted with a special new gown and bicycle, which fitted in perfectly with her colour of choice.
