She told the Northants Telegraph: "A fantastic way to be part of the trust is to start as a trust member.

"This is how my involvement with KGH began.

"I am now a public governor.

"During this unprecedented Covid pandemic, I have learned first-hand of the enormous strain placed on the trust at every level, and what a truly outstanding effort has been made

to mitigate these challenges.

"Given the enormity of the situation, new services have been developed, new procedures put in place, new ways of working adopted with innovation and flexibility all at very short notice.

"Hopefully, as the incidence of Covid reduces and KGH re-opens more services, we can begin to look forward again.

"With plans for a new Urgent Care Hub Kettering General will be transforming and improving the way they provide services.

"As a trust member and a governor, I know that there has never been a more exciting time to be involved.

"If the future of your hospital excites you too, become a trust member or a public governor."
