A second collision then occurred between the drivers of the Scania and a blue Mercedes AMG car. Fortunately, both drivers were not injured.

North Northamptonshire Highways said the closure was to allow for resurfacing works of the carriage way following the incident.
NN Highways tweeted this morning (Wednesday) to say the road has now fully re-opened in both directions following completion of the resurfacing work.
