North Northamptonshire turns green to raise £19,117 for Cransley Hospice Trust
North Northamptonshire has turned green in spectacular style, raising an incredible £19,117 for Cransley Hospice Trust through its annual ‘Go Green’ campaign – helping the charity to make every moment matter for patients and their families at the end of their lives.

Now in its third year, ‘Go Green,’ held during Hospice Care Week, saw local businesses, community groups and individuals rally behind their local hospice. From green outfits and cake sales to fundraising events, generous donations and even mountain climbs, the community pulled out all the stops to raise these vital funds.
The money raised could fund 25 days of specialist hospice care for someone living with a life-limiting illness, helping ensure patients and their families receive the care, comfort and support they need the most.

A highlight of this year's campaign was the brand-new ‘Go Green Walk,’ made possible thanks to headline sponsor Yusen Logistics. Bringing together people of all ages and abilities, the walk saw supporters take to the Greenway for a jubilant journey from Stanwick Lakes to Rushden Lakes, rounding off the week in style.
Yusen Logistics' support went far beyond headline sponsorship, with colleagues across multiple sites throwing themselves into the campaign. From organising cake sales and raffles to lacing up their walking shoes and joining the ‘Go Green Walk’ themselves, teams demonstrated a fantastic commitment to supporting their local hospice.
Steve Cletheroe, Site Manager at Yusen Logistics in Wellingborough, commented: "We have a longstanding relationship with Cransley Hospice Trust and are proud to continue supporting the incredible care they provide to patients and families locally. It's been fantastic to see our colleagues get behind ‘Go Green’ so enthusiastically. We're honoured to play our part in making a difference to our local community."
Other fantastic fundraising efforts through the week included the Grosvenor Group, who raised £1,569.13 through dressing green and baking green; Dance Till Dawn, whose Halloween event raised more than £1,180; and Fynnius Fogg, who raised £716 through a live performance at Higham Working Men's Club.
Rebecca Patenall, Corporate and Community Fundraiser at Cransley Hospice Trust, said: "The support we've received has been absolutely incredible. For the third year running, our community has come together to champion local hospice care, and this year's first-ever ‘Go Green Walk’ was a real highlight. Seeing so many people getting involved, supporting one another and raising vital funds was truly special. Every single contribution has made a difference, and we are enormously grateful to everyone who took part!"
Cransley Hospice Trust extends a huge thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, sponsored or fundraised. From individual supporters and local businesses to community groups and corporate teams, every effort helped make this year's fantastic total possible.
Once again, the local community has shown just how much local hospice care means to them. And with Go Green 2027 on the horizon, Cransley Hospice Trust is already excited to see what can be achieved together next year!
