Cransley Hospice Trust encourages the community to 'give the gift of a cuddle this Christmas'
Cransley Hospice Trust is calling on the local community to help make this special bed a reality for future patients and their families.
Christmas is a time for being close to the people we love. For families facing the reality of losing someone special, that closeness can mean more than words will ever express.
Cransley Hospice Trust has launched “A Cuddle for Christmas” - an appeal to raise £15,000 to purchase a specialist cuddle bed for Cransley Hospice, giving patients and their loved ones the chance to lie side by side, hold each other and share precious moments of togetherness in comfort and safety.
Because sometimes, the most meaningful thing you can do for someone is simply to hold them close.
A specialist cuddle bed is designed to convert from a single hospice bed into a comfortable double bed at the touch of a button. It means husbands and wives can share a final embrace. Children can curl up beside a parent. Parents can hold their child close. Brothers, sisters and best friends can share a moment of connection that they will treasure forever.
When words become difficult, a cuddle can say everything.

Cransley Hospice Trust is calling on the local community to help make this special bed a reality for future patients and their families. And, thanks to the incredible generosity of a local supporter Norwood Whittle, there is an extra reason to give this Christmas: the first £5,000 donated to the appeal will be match funded!
This means that donations can go twice as far. A gift of £10 could become £20, £25 could become £50 and £50 could become £100! You do not need to do anything to receive match funding on your donation, simply donate today and your donation will be doubled.
Every donation, however big or small, will help bring this very special piece of equipment to Cransley Hospice, creating more opportunities for patients and their families to experience comfort, connection and love when they need it most.
