Carers event Aspiro Healthcare Studfall Medical Centre Corby
We would like to thank everyone who attended and helped make the event such a positive experience.
On 9 June 2026, our surgery proudly hosted a Carers Event to recognise and support the invaluable contribution of informal carers within our community.

The event provided an opportunity for carers to connect, share experiences, and learn about the support available to them. We highlighted our carers assessment service and referral pathway to Northamptonshire Carers, who offer practical advice, guidance, and ongoing support for those caring for family members and friends.
We were delighted to welcome our local Age Well representative, Emma Robinson, who provided helpful information and support to carers.
The event was made possible through the dedication of Reception Manager Patricia Reid Carers Lead, Debbie Edgar and Neesa our medical student, who all worked together to ensure the morning was welcoming, informative, and successful.
We would like to thank everyone who attended and helped make the event such a positive experience. Supporting carers remains an important part of our commitment to the health and wellbeing of our community.
Feedback form carers and staff:
My first carers event since joining the surgery and really enjoyed it
Attendance figures were on the low side, however, the patients we engaged with today really appreciated our support.
We identified some new carers and informed existing carers on support they were not aware of.
Great support from Emma from Northamptonshire Carers who had some very in-depth conversations with a number of patients.
The support varied from what benefits were available to informing the patients of what other support was available to them and by whom. E.g modifications in the home.
Quote from a new carer identified who cares for her mum - "I used to be at another surgery in the town and they didn't do anything like this. This is great, thank-you"
Quote from an existing carer who also cares for her mum - "Things are getting worse for mum and I need more support but don't always know where to go. Today has been good and Emma has been very helpful.
In summary, a great event which has real benefits for the patients and who they care for. This would be great to be held quarterly or at least twice a year, at Studfall and Woodsend.
