Kettering’s Highfield estate will host a free Halloween hunt this weekend so families can have fun without having to worry about the cost.

The event – which comes after a well-attended Easter egg hunt earlier this year – is taking place at the Highfield Road park from 3pm to 6pm on October 30.

As well as the hunt there will be games, ‘big monsters’, displays and prizes for children, thanks to the efforts of a group of volunteers and members of the community.

Any donations given on the day will be given to the Shack Food Christmas fund.

Organiser Claire Love said she appreciated the efforts of many, and the donations they have received, to make the event possible.

She said: "We want to bring the community together where they don’t have to worry about the cost – it’s about enjoying it and making memories.”

All children who attend the event must be accompanied by an adult.
