Lamport Hall hosts Gyles Brandreth talk
Gyles Brandreth will be discuss the career of his namesake on Tuesday July 19.
He celebrates the acting career of his namesake Sir Gyles Isham (1903-76) a distinguished actor on stage and screen in the Twenties and Thirties.

Hide AdHe later took on the great task of restoring Lamport Hall and establishing the preservation trust that cares for Lamport to this day.
Gyles has appeared on Just A Minute, Countdown, The One Show, QI, Have I Got News For You and Room 101.
But it was losing his seat as an MP in 1997 which inspired him to make the transition from politics to personality.
He has also recently taken his latest show Word Power, all about language, on a tour of the country.
The talk starts at 11am and tickets for the event are £17.50. Entrance includes a light lunch.
