Alongside the match-playing teamwear, Castore will also be on all training and talent pathway kits.

The deal brings to an end Northants’ association with Gray-Nicolls, and the new playing kits across all three formats were unveiled at the club’s media day on Wednesday.

The whites will then be worn for the first time on Saturday when Northants take on Cardiff UCCE in a three-day friendly at the County Ground.

Castore was established in 2015 and has become one of the most high profile kit suppliers across a range of sports across the world.

The England cricket team wears Castore, as well as the South Africa and West Indies international sides, while other first-class counties to wear the brand include Warwickshire, Hampshire and Lancashire.

In football, Castore supply Premier League sides Everton and Burnley, as well as Scottish giants Rangers, while in rugby they supply England as well as Prem Rugby clubs Saracens and Bath and Irish sides Lenster and Ulster.

They also kit out the Oracle Red Bull Formula 1 racing team,

Castore general manager Ben Brown said: “We are delighted to welcome Northamptonshire County Cricket Club to the Castore family.

“This partnership brings together two organisations committed to performance, innovation and progression. Our focus is on delivering best-in-class kit that enables the squad to perform at their highest level, while giving supporters a product they can wear with pride.”

Northants chief operating officer Daniel Vernon said: “Castore’s level of product is exceptional and to introduce this for our men’s and women’s sides, as well as talent pathway and supporter merchandise is fantastic for the club.

“This is a huge partnership and one we’ve worked hard for. The number of organisations Castore work with is telling of their reach and to now be one of those is brilliant.”
