Hide AdWright has confirmed the majority of last season’s squad, who were on course for at least a play-off place in the Southern League Division One Central, have agreed to stay on while he will be targeting “three or four” further signings to freshen things up.
And while there is currently no official start date for next season, Wright believes the players getting back together will be a good thing for everyone.
“I spent a bit of time over last weekend looking at how we could get things started and we will be getting the boys back in on July 4,” the Corby boss said.

“The balls will be out, we will do a bit of fitness and I think that’s how things will work for the first couple of Saturdays in July. There’s no point dragging them in on Saturday-Tuesday-Thursday for the time being.
“So that’s the plan, the lads seem happy and it give everyone something to look forward to.

“The boys are making all the right noises. We have had James Clifton leave to join Basford but the rest of them have agreed to stay. I have had good chats with them and there is a positive feeling in the group.”
One other player who won't be returning to Steel Park next season is midfielder Joe Burgess.
Burgess signed for Corby last summer but has now opted to return to his former club Stamford.
