Corby Town boss Gary Setchell was delighted at his team's 'dominant' showing in Tuesday night's impressive 2-0 win at Anstey Nomads.

First-half goals from Tristan Thompson-Matthews and Rory McAuley prioved to be enough for the Steelmen to claim all three points and return to the top of the Pitching-In Northern Premier League table.

And Setchell was once again a happy man as his side followed up Saturday's 7-0 demolition of Long Eaton United with another win, their third on the spin since losing their only game to date, at home to title rivals Quorn.

"I am as delighted with the performance as I am with the result, and I thought we dominated from start to finish," Setchell told @corbytownfc.

"Their keeper has kept them in it as we have had three or four one-on-ones which he saved, and we were good value for the win.

"On Saturday we had seven go in and we deserved seven, in this game we probably had as many good chances and managed to take two.

"But to come to Anstey and win 2-0 is great. This is one of the toughest fixtures in the calendar and we have done a dominant job on them.

"Anstey had one or two players missing tonight, and we have a fully-fit squad at the minute.

"That will level itself over the season, and Anstey will be in the play-offs at the end of the season, they are a very, very good side, but tonight was our night as we did a job on them."

The Steelmen moved a point clear of an inactive Quorn in midweek, and will be aiming to stay there on Saturday when they make the tricky-looking trip to fourth-placed Darlaston Town, who were 3-0 winners at Lye on Tuesday.
