Steelbacks face Bears clash on finals day

The Steelbacks lost twice to the Bears during the group stages, with both defeats going right down to the final ball of the match.

But David Ripley’s side will be confident of avenging those agonising losses, having smashed Sussex Sharks by seven wickets in the quarter-final.

David Willey’s stunning 40-ball century was vital in the victory at Hove.

The Bears, who will enjoy home advantage on finals day, just as they did last year when winning the competition, edged past Essex Eagles in the last eight.

The Steelbacks, winners of the T20 trophy two years ago, will face the Bears at 11am.

Hampshire, who won at Worcestershire, and Lancashire, who won at Kent, will meet in the second semi-final at 2.30pm with the final at 6.45pm.
