Work stalls on multi-million pound redevelopment of Wellingborough's Hearnden Court
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
Dappletree Court is set to replace the former Hearnden Court building in Henshaw Road, Wellingborough following its closure in 2020.
However, the scheme by Wellingborough-based housing association, Greatwell Homes, has been paused after the contractors working on it filed for administration.

Julie Robinson, executive director at Greatwell Homes, told the Northants Telegraph: “Our thoughts are with the ARJ Construction staff affected, many of whom will have been surprised as us by this news given the independent assurances and evidence of solvency very recently provided.
“As our flagship development is in the early stages of construction, we will now procure a new developer able to fulfil our original deadline of completing the build by late 2025 to minimise any impact on our pipeline and our residents.”
The build is set to house 57 new homes for social rent for those in later living and will be Greatwell Homes’ first scheme under their new Independent Living Plus service which will provide an extra level of care to those aged 55 and above living in the flats.
The £18m project started in June 2023.
