Windfall for Kettering neighbours after postcode lottery win

Two neighbours in Kettering woke up £1,000 richer today (Thursday) thanks to their lucky postcode.

The Rockingham Road residents netted the windfall when NN16 9JA was announced as the People's Postcode Lottery's daily prize winner.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt said: “Congratulations to our winners.

"What a great surprise to hear on a Thursday morning!”

It's the latest success in a streak of wins in the postcode lottery in the north of the county this year.

In July a winner in the Northampton Road area netted a £30,000 jackpot.

And since March neighbours in streets including Rushden's Newbury Close, Weldon's Church View, Wellingborough's Oakway and Corby's Elizabeth Street and Welland Vale Road have all won £1,000.

A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised more £600m to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.
