Wellingborough crematorium to mark 10th anniversary with open day
Nene Valley Crematorium is inviting residents to join its team for a special community open day as it marks 10 years of supporting families across the area.
The event will take place on Saturday, September 12, from 10am to 3pm, giving visitors an opportunity to learn more about the crematorium, in Doddington Road, Wellingborough, and the work that takes place there.
The relaxed and informal open day will give people the chance to meet the team, take a behind-the-scenes look at the crematorium and find out more about the service it provides.
Visitors will also be encouraged to share their thoughts and ideas about the crematorium and its future.

Light refreshments will be available throughout the day.
A spokesperson said: “For the past 10 years, Nene Valley Crematorium has had the privilege of supporting local families at some of the most difficult times in their lives.
“We know that a crematorium isn’t somewhere people would normally think about visiting unless they need to, so our community open day is an opportunity to come along in very different circumstances.
“People can meet our team, see behind the scenes and ask any questions they may have in a friendly and welcoming environment.
“We’re incredibly proud to have served our community for the past decade and we’d love local people to join us as we mark this important milestone.”
The event is free and open to everyone. Booking is preferred to help the team manage the flow of behind-the-scenes tours, although visitors are also welcome to simply turn up on the day.
Places can be booked free of charge through Eventbrite.
