Signage application for new fast food name coming to Kettering town centre with more than 200 locations nationwide
Plans have been submitted for new Pepe’s Piri Piri Chicken signage at a vacant unit in Kettering town centre.
The application, validated on March 23, shows signage for Pepe’s Piri Piri Chicken being installed on a shop which was formerly used by ISM Music Academy at 20-21 Silver Street, Kettering.
Signage includes the installation of four new fascia signs and a standing sign in the street, displaying the shop’s branding. The Local Highways Authority did not object to the plans, providing the means of illumination ‘shall not be of a flashing or intermittent kind.’
A statement on the brand’s website reads: “Pepe's is an exciting brand that offers great growth potential. We believe in our brand and want every customer to enjoy our food.

"It is our aim to develop our business by creating win-win relationships in a friendly, productive and supportive environment.”
Pepe’s Piri Piri is a franchise, meaning the brand can license out the brand to a third party to open a location.
Plans for the restaurant were submitted in March 2025 by Mr K Singh Dadar and were later approved, meaning it will be the brand’s second location in north Northamptonshire, with another in Great Oakley, on the outskirts of Corby, and the third in Northamptonshire, with one in Northampton’s Wellingborough Road.

The new spot would be entering a crowded market in the town centre, with the recent opening of Rio’s back in November 2025 joining the already established Buffalo Chicken and Jackson’s Chicken in Silver Street.
