Man trapped in car in Wellingborough A45 crash – emergency services in attendance

All three emergency services were called to a traffic collision this afternoon (July 20) after a driver was injured in a crash on an A45 slip road.

The slip road leading on to the roundabout in Turnells Mill Lane saw severe delays while fire crews cut a man out of a car.

A Northants Fire and Rescue spokesman said: “Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to assist at a single vehicle road traffic collision on the Turnells Mill Lane roundabout in Wellingborough, shortly before 2pm this afternoon (July 20).

“Two fire crews arrived and found a man was trapped in the car. They used hydraulic cutting tools to remove the roof of the car and help release him. He was then left in the care of paramedics.”
