Residents, community groups, and visitors can join together to observe a Holocaust Memorial Day Service include readings, personal stories, and prayers, offering a moment of reflection.
A Wellinborough Town Council spokesman said: “Holocaust Memorial Day is an opportunity for communities to come together, remember the past, and commit to standing against hatred and intolerance in all its forms.

“This annual event is an important part of Wellingborough’s civic calendar, promoting awareness, reflection, and hope.”
After the service in the afternoon, attendees are invited to gather in Swanspool Pavilion for refreshments and to view a special display exploring themes of remembrance, resilience, and unity.
Holocaust Memorial Day takes place on January 27 every year, marking the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp in 1945, and serves to remind, and educate people about holocausts around the world.
2026’s theme, Bridging Generations, is a reminder that ‘the responsibility of remembrance does not end with the survivors.’
