The latest development comes after the Daventry-based family-owned company bought and restored The Raven Hall in Corby earlier in the year to provide a day centre alongside the existing hotel and pub.

Tom Stevenson, head of business at The Cube Disability, said: “This brilliant new centre will be a true hub for the Kettering community.

“We’ve seen a significant rise in demand for our services in the area, and this project is about making sure we continue to deliver high-quality, meaningful support in a space that people are excited to be a part of.”

The new day centre offers a suite of modern facilities, including a dedicated gaming room and cinema room, an arts and crafts area, sports pitch for inclusive physical activity, dance studio for movement and self-expression, and a calming sensory room providing therapeutic support.

It is the second Cube Cooking College in the county – the first being in Kingsthorpe, Northampton – bringing the concept of learning life skills, confidence, and independence, in a kitchen environment.

A spokesman for The Cube Disability said: “Following the success of the first — which has been incredibly popular since launching — The Cube Disability is thrilled to bring this much-loved concept to the north of the county, giving even more individuals the opportunity to build life skills, confidence, and independence through engaging culinary education.

“This latest development comes after restoring The Raven Hall in Corby earlier in the year, further demonstrating The Cube Disability’s ongoing commitment to enhancing services and facilities across the region. It is fantastic to have such brilliant investment across the north of Northamptonshire.”

Mayor of Corby Cllr Callum Reilly visited The Cube Disability’s Raven Hall base in Rockingham Road to see the day centre, a community space that is bookable during evenings and weekends. Solar panels are currently being installed by Corby company GENR8 Energy at the venue to keep down fuel costs.

Mayor of Corby, Cllr Callum Reilly, said: “It was a privilege to be invited to visit The Raven to see these projects in action. The hall facilities, developed in partnership with Cube Disability, are fantastic and a significant asset to our local community.

“It is great to see the investments made to secure the future of The Raven, physically, economically and environmentally. This facility enables adults with additional needs within our town to have a safe space with a warm community feel, which they can access regularly to receive state-of-the-art opportunities, resources to develop skills and engage with new experiences.”

Leader of Corby Town Council, Cllr Simon Rielly, added: “It’s been great to learn about how The Cube Disability have sought to re-purpose the Raven Hall – not just benefitting their service users but providing the wider community with a renewed facility.

"That they are working on making this project sustainable with the support of a county company makes it a local success story.”
