In a Facebook post, Crazy Hats said: "After much consideration it has been agreed that we will be 'postponing' (not cancelling) this year's walk due to take place on Sunday, April 19.

"In light of the worldwide news we feel this is the correct decision.

"Additionally, we will curtailing our weekly and evening coffee and chat sessions with immediate effect - starting on Thursday March 19. Due to the nature of the vulnerable people these sessions attract, again, this is the right decision - everyone's health and wellbeing is of paramount importance and has to come first.

"Thirdly, we will be delaying opening up our holiday home in Norfolk until such time as it is deemed safe to do so.

"We will be writing to 'everyone' tomorrow to further explain the implications of our actions - actions that I hope you will all agree with and understand.

"At all times, we will keep you updated. These are difficult times for us all but if we are all sensible we will get through this."

In 2018 the walk was postponed because of cold weather - before the rearranged walk raised more than £50,000.
