Corby Prezzo re-opens next week ready for a pizza the action

The popular Italian food chain will also be open for takeaways

Prezzo in Corby has confirmed that is re-opening its doors to diners next Thursday (August 27).

To celebrate being open again, diners will be able to enjoy some new additions to the menu, including a new calamari recipe, four new pizzas (including vegetarian and vegan options), a new chicken burger, plus new cocktails and coolers.

There are savings to be had with Prezzo's summer set menu, costing £15 for two courses and £19 for three courses.

The restaurant chain is also taking part in the Government’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme, which offers 50 per cent off food and soft drinks Monday to Wednesday, with Corby diners only able to cash-in on August Bank Holiday (August 31).

Although recommended to cap this offer to a maximum spend of £10, Prezzo isn’t limiting the offer so customers can enjoy 50 per cent off the entire bill (excluding alcohol).

Restaurant bosses have said keeping everyone safe and healthy is their top priority so initially they're opening 35 of their 180 restaurants, and bringing in new initiatives to make sure customers are safe, including:

- All menus will now be disposable to ensure no contamination

- Digital ordering from a smartphone or tablet using the QR code displayed on each table (customers can still order with one of the team if they’d prefer)

- Standard social distancing markers, hand sanitiser units, and posters with Public Health England advice throughout the restaurants

- The restaurants are now cashless. Customers can settle their bill using Apple Pay or Android Pay, contactless or Chip and PIN

After performing well in test restaurants at the start of this year, the chain is also introducing a Vegan Spaghetti Bolognese which will also be available with gluten free pasta.
