Corby’s Job Centre Plus has shut its doors as part of a refurbishment programme.

The facility in George Street is used by job seekers across the town as well as those seeking benefits advice and assessments.

But it closed on Tuesday (April 22) so the building can be spruced-up.

The centre will be shut until Friday (May 23) and users will be able to visit Kettering Job Centre

A DWP spokeswoman said: “Alternative arrangements and support are in place at Corby Cube and Kettering Job Centre. Customers with planned appointments are being contacted and, where appropriate, appointments may be held via alternative channels such as phone and video.

“Benefit payments are unaffected by the temporary closure.”
