Two successful entrepreneurs from Corby are collaborating on a live lockdown event set to take place tomorrow (Thursday, April 30).

Saint Pierre urban clothing line, founded by Peter Towers, is teaming up with Dupex - Corby’s Danny Upex - to host the event featuring the best house and dance music live from Danny’s Corby living room. There will be giveaways from Saint Pierre - which has gone from strength to strength after being featured in the Northants Telegraph last year.

Danny bagged a record deal after one of his songs went viral last year when it was shared by mixed martial arts star Conor McGregor.

He’s back in Corby during the coronavirus crisis and, in association with Ayia Napa-based Pambos Parties, will be hosting tomorrow’s event to help music fans across the world make the most of lockdown.

Saint Pierre have produced their own NN18-branded masks which they have been giving away free with purchases from their in-demand online clothing range. Founder Peter Towers has also been driving around Corby dressed as Action Man giving the masks away for free.

The popular masks will be among giveaways that take place every fifteen minutes during the event, which will be streamed live on Facebook and Instagram.

Saint Pierre founder Peter Towers, who last year spoke to our reporters about how he dramatically turned his life around after leaving Corby Community College with no qualifications, said that he was pleased to have the backing of Geordie Shore’s Scotty T for the event, adding: “It’s been a mad few months.

”We’ve been giving the masks with our logo on our everywhere and we ordered loads of PPE-grade medical masks at the same time to go to KGH. Everyone’s got to do their bit.

”Lockdown is tough but we’re trying to make the most of it. Danny’s a great guy and he’s done so well that is made sense for us to do this collaboration.

”We’ve been doing a few things together and he has great contacts in Ayia Napa so we’ve put this together to hopefully bring a bit of positivity to the situation.

”We’ve been lucky to have some support from some big DJs and some contestants from Love Island and now Scotty T has helped us promote the event tomorrow.

”He’s absolutely crazy but a great guy.”

Since he first featured in the NT last year, Peter’s brand has continued to grow and he is now launching a line of matching clothing for adults and children.

His unique logo features his upside-down cross and Corby’s NN18 postcode. The compass on the logo points East for the East Midlands and is coloured red for the rose of Northamptonshire.

He said: “We’ve been selling loads on the website during the pandemic and we’ve sold out of so much stock. It’s mad to be in this position. I couldn’t have dreamed of it a couple of years ago.”

You can watch the event from 2pm to 4pm tomorrow on Facebook or on Instagram.
