Building of now-closed historic Wellingborough shop goes up for sale
The building formerly occupied by Warwicks in the High Street has gone on the market.
Warwicks closed in June last year after being a staple of the town centre since 1868, with the shop being passed through five generations of the Warwick family.
Despite the business being profitable, the then-owner, Neil Warwick, was unable to find a buyer after nobody in his family was able to take on the running of the shop.
Now, seven months after its closure, the unit has been listed for sale with a guide price of £895,000.

The listing reads: “The subject retail property is situated within a conservation area and prominently located on High Street with its junction with Church Street; a busy gateway to the town centre, close to Tresham College and the main shopping area.”
The shop consists of 678.8sq m of retail space on the ground floor. Within the listing are the three one-bedroom flats connected to the shop in Queens Lane, just off Queen Street, each with a lounge, kitchen, bathroom and double bedroom.
