Bookies bids for licence for vacant Kettering High Street unit
A national chain of bookies has applied for a betting premises licence for a vacant unit in Kettering High Street.
Betfred, which already has branches in Montagu Street and Silver Street in the town, has applied to North Northants Council for the licence for 68-70 High Street, most recently occupied by women’s clothing chain Bonmarche.

Plans to turn the site into a 24/7 bingo lounge had previously been announced, but nothing has come to fruition.
