Animals in Need invites Northamptonshire residents to name 11 new spaniels and help fund vital first aid equipment

Northamptonshire animal rescue charity Animals in Need is welcoming 11 spaniels into its care and inviting supporters to get involved by helping name the dogs and raise funds for essential veterinary first aid equipment.

The charity, which operates from its sites in Little Irchester and Guilsborough, is preparing to welcome eight female spaniels and three males.

As the dogs settle into their new surroundings, Animals in Need is giving supporters the opportunity to play a small but meaningful part in their next chapter.

For a £10 donation, members of the public can suggest a name for one of the spaniels, helping to raise funds towards three wall-mounted canine first aid kits for the charity’s kennels.

The kits will provide important equipment for staff caring for dogs at the rescue, helping ensure essential first aid supplies are readily accessible when needed.

Sam, speaking on behalf of Animals in Need, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming these 11 spaniels and giving them the care and attention they need.

“We’d love people to get involved by helping us choose their names.

"It’s a lovely way to support the dogs as they begin this next chapter while also helping us fund equipment that will benefit the many dogs in our care.”

Animals in Need relies heavily on public donations to support its rescue and welfare work, with fundraising helping the charity meet the everyday needs of the animals who depend on it.

Anyone interested in suggesting a name for one of the spaniels can contact the charity at [email protected]. A £10 donation is requested for each name suggestion.

Every contribution will help Animals in Need continue providing care and support to animals in need of a safe place to stay.
