A showcase of local talent will be one of the first live music events to return to Kettering's cultural calendar with a gala concert in the town.

The evening of songs 'A night with The Tenor & Guests' takes place at United Reformed Church in London Road on Saturday, June 26, with acts from all over the county.

As well as genres from classical to musicals and sacred to secular, the evening will feature a fundraising raffle for the North Northamptonshire Music Festival due to take place in 2022.

Organiser Josh Daniel known as 'The Tenor', said: "It's going to be a great evening. I am so pleased that after so long we are able to put a show on again, it's been far too long and something we have all missed very much.

"This is what everybody needs, the audience needs to hear live music and the performers need to perform, it's a win-win situation all round.

"So much has been cancelled the past 14 months and we are just so happy to be able to perform for you all again and it would be fantastic to have a sell out audience."

Joining The Tenor are acts from all over Northamptonshire. Performing will be singers Jonathan Reynolds, who has appeared in many musical theatre productions and concerts over the years across the UK and Europe, Vicki Becks, who was asked to perform at the very last Kettering Borough Council Meeting, star of musical theatre Katie-Rose Parker and Northampton Male Voice Choir LITE, directed by Stephen Bell, an award-winning mostly a capella group.
