Mercedes convertible damaged while parked near Wellingborough pub

A Mercedes convertible had its driver's side window smashed sometime between 10.45am and 11.05am yesterday (Thursday).

Damage was also caused to the driver’s side door and a wing mirror.

The red CLS 320 was parked near the Old House pub in Melbourne Street, Wellingborough, when the incident happened.

A police spokesman said: “Around the same time, two men were seen loitering near the vehicle and one was seen to hit it with a large rock.

“The men then made off along Elizabeth Walk.”

The offenders are described as white and in their twenties with slim builds.

One had olive skin and wore a shiny black, hooded top with a white Adidas symbol on the back, navy Adidas tracksuit bottoms with red stripes and black trainers.

The other wore a blue baseball cap, a blue sweatshirt with a white logo on the chest, blue tracksuit bottoms and red trainers.
