A suspect is due to appear in court today (Tuesday) over a Kettering stabbing which left a man seriously hurt.

Samuel Stone, 32, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent after the incident in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Police were called just after midnight after reports a man in his 20s had been stabbed in Dalkeith Place.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries but has since been discharged, a force spokesman said.

A section of Silver Street was cordoned off yesterday morning, with traffic diverted away from the scene.

Stone, of Roman Road in Titchmarsh, will appear before magistrates in Northampton.
