A man in his 20s has been left with serious injuries after he was stabbed in Kettering in the early hours of today (Monday).

The incident that happened just after midnight took place near Dalkeith Place and Silver Street, with the road remaining cordoned off by Northamptonshire Police.

Traffic has been diverted away from the scene close to the junction with School Lane.

A spokesman for Northants Police said: "Just after midnight today, we received a call regarding a man in his 20s who had been stabbed in Kettering, near Dalkeith Place.

"He was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he currently remains.

"A 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident."

"Anyone who witnessed anything in the Dalkeith Place area from midnight and just after is asked to call us on 101 quoting incident number 21000255257."
